User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars great
the tv was shipped timely and in great condition. very satisfied the product itself.

1 Star Not worth it.
Today I go to Best Buy to see the 32″ LCD TVs. Sony 32L5000 is one of the worst two 32″ TVs I had seen there. (Another one is a unknown brand TV.) Best Buy play the same TV show on all the TVs, so it’s quite easy to tell the difference. 32L5000 has terrible detail. Much worse than Samsung LN32B360, LG 32LH20, Toshiba, Sharp, etc. If you really liked SONY, buy some higher level SONYs. Never never try this entry level SONY. You don’t have to believe me, just go to some retail stores and trust your own eyes.

1 Star be careful before buying – the 32L4000 model crashed
I purchased a 32″ Sony KDL-32L4000 model through an Amazon retail partner, ABT of Chicago. It arrived quickly and worked beautifully for 13 months. Then, the picture went haywire, with shimmering , curtain like things covering the screen. I have seen this condition described in other reviews of this product.

Sony live chat worked with me and concluded there was a major failure somewhere in the system. They recommended a service center 140 miles from my home. I took the set to two electronics shops in the city near me and both of them said it was not worth fixing. Mother boards at $200.00 + each would need to be replaced and even then no guarantee of reliable performance. I donated it to a recycling center. Of course it was one month out of warranty.

At the suggestion of the repair shops, I went to Wal Mart and bought a Vizio model listed as a “best buy” by Consumer Reports for $440.00. So far it is beautiful.

I have been a Sony loyalist for years, but no more. A $700.00 TV gone in a year.

This problem may have been fixed in newer models such as the KDL-32L5000. Just a word to the wise about my experience.

5 Stars Exellent!
I bought this unit through Amazon.com and it was shipped by J&R Music. It was delivered within a few days, free shipping, lightweight and very easy setup, excellent picture on HD and regular channels, excellent sound. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

2 Stars Sony Quality Control Sinks To All-Time Low
A few weeks ago I purchased a SONY KDL32L5000 720p LCD-TV from Amazon, which was shipped from one of their approved associates, J&R Elecronics, Inc.

Upon arrival, it was found the unit had (according to Sony Tech Support) a “board problem” which prevented the display of “program name and content description”, and the TV would have to be shipped to Sony (at my expense) for repair or possible replacement. (Sony would not guarantee that a new unit would be supplied, if a replacement was made.)

I elected to return the unit to J&R, who to their credit provided a prepaid UPS shipping label. As it would take approximately 2 weeks before J&R received the defective unit, give me credit for the return, and reshipped a replacement, I elected to purchase another unit so immediate shipment could be made, with my account to be credited upon receipt of the original defective return.

About a week later, the second Sony TV arrived. Upon opening the shipping box and setting up the TV, it was found that the LCD screen was “cracked” internally (not visable until power was applied) and that it was inoperable. Another call was made to J&R, and this second Sony has now been repacked and we are awaiting pickup by UPS for return to J&R for yet another credit.

I wish to quickly state that everyone I have talked to at J&R Electronics have been extremely helpful, and I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future. They are very professional, friendly and caring.

On the other hand, Sony Support (they mainly use off-shore outsourcing personnel) is absolutely horrible and these “support” people have absolutely no technical knowledge to assist the caller. (Half the time one also gets disconnected and has to call back and start at the beginning of the waiting line again.)

Call it bad luck, however EVERY single Sony product I have purchased over the last 6-8 years have had “out-of-box” problems, requiring either exchange or repair. A few years ago, my very expensive Sony “book-shelf” AM-FM-SW Radio-CD combo developed problems. It spent over 6 months in Sony’s Company Owned Burbank Service Center. They could not repair it and finally had to send it to Sony’s Engineering Labs in Arizona to be repaired, which took another 2 months to complete. To this day the system still does not work properly, with one audio channel constantly turning itself on and off, at will. I have many other Sony QC problems I could cite, but won’t bore you with the details.

It is no wonder that, today, Sony are having financial problems. Their product QC is very poor and their support even worse.

-UPDATE (23-Oct-09)-

Yesterday, while visiting a local Best Buy store, I noticed ALL of the Sony LCD HDTV’s were being deeply discounted. The KDL32L500 (above) was on sale for $429.00. They had a ton of them in stock, but apparently no takers. The 1080p version (KDL32S5100) was being offered at $544.00. Salesperson’s everywhere were “touting” Sony. Appears Sony is “dumping” all current models, most likely because newer units are on the way.

5 Stars good television at a great price…
Me and my wife shopped around a lot before we decided to buy a new tv. We seen a lot of good tv’s at decent prices, but most of them did not have the hook-up for the pc. The G10 is everything we were looking for in a new tv, and Amazon gave it to us at the best price. We are very pleased with the picture quality and the sound quality of the HD.

5 Stars incredible 5 stars doesnt do the picture justice
wow anyone considering plasma line put the specs on this up against almost any 1600 to 2800 $ tv and you will be blown away 600 mhz 2,000,000 dynamic contrast ratio i went to the store to look at 240 mhz led backlit lcds saw pixels and motion blur with only a 50,00 hour screen life vs panny’s 100,00 hour a complete no brainer bought through amazon love u guys oh and and few things not mentioned online seems to have volume leveling no more chasing volume buttons on commercials and digital optical audio out also firmware updates available via ethernet cord worried about that but didn’t need to congratulations panasonic only reason 4 stars for ease of use is onboard buttons sort of awkward location behind right side edge of panel need to kind of lean around the edge to see what u r doing probably just take some getting used to ALSO IF YOU PLUG THIS TV INTO A UNGROUNDED OUTLET AFTER YOUR FIRMWARE UPDATE IE TO GET ONLINE IT WILL LOCKUP COMPLETELY

5 Stars Panasonic TC-P42G10 Plasma HDTV
I waited until we owned this Panasonic TC-P42G10 Plasma TV for a few months before reviewing. Picture quality is just phenomenal! Along with the picture being extremely sharp the colors on screen are brilliant and vivid thanks to the black level on this TV which really makes the picture pop. I researched for weeks before purchasing this HDTV to find the best quality picture for the money and thus far we have not been disappointed. My only regret is not purchasing the 50 or 54″ version of this TV. If you are looking to purchase an outstanding quailty HDTV at a great price point you can’t go wrong here.

I read many are articles about Plasmas and one thing I believe everyone should NOT do is adjust their contrast above a level of 50 until they have at least 100 hours of use. I adjusted my contrast to 48 and it is still set at that level today. At some point in the future I may adjust our contrast level higher but for now picture is sharp and images pop with the level at 48.

I purchase alot from Amazon but I had reservations about purchasing a large piece of Electronics from them because of the individual shipping involved. I have vistited a couple of FedEx sorting facilities and have seen flat screen TV’s laying on their side with other packages stacked on them. Those images, burned into my mind, made it really hard for me to order the TV online knowing that shipping would be involved and how well the carries handle our packages. I read that Amazon uses CEVA Logistics for shipping and I researched them and I did not find very many good reviews from either Dell or Amazon users. I ordered anyway because we get 30 days to return items. I placed my order and believe it or not 2 days later I had my TC-P42G10 set up in my home. I did however go to the CEVA shipping office to pick up my set. I wanted to check out the facitity like I did for FedEx to see how they handle their freight. To my suprise the facility was well organized and each and every package, which they were all large, was placed on shelves and storage racks. I saw no boxes stacked on each other and everything was well organized. I picked up my TV and there was not even so much as a scratch on the box!!!… I was very impressed with the CEVA shipping company and I would not hesitate to buy large Electronics from Amazon knowing that they use CEVA. CEVA gets and A+ in my book, FedEx gets a B- at best and UPS gets a C at best.

Bottom Line: IMHO you definately can’t go wrong when purchasing a Panasonic TC-PxxG10 TV. You will love the exceptional Picture quality, I can’t speak to the sound of the TV because I have a home theater system and we don’t buy these TV’s for their sound. For me shipping is not a concern after visiting the CEVA shipping office and my experience with this purchase.

5 Stars Awesome at the right Price
This tv is the best I’ve ever owned. The blacks are black and the reds are right where they’re supposed to be. It’ what I expected from Pansonic because I have owned them before and they always produce a good product.I watch a lot of football and the picture keeps up with the action.

The delivery by Amazon was terrific. They called beforehand on delivery day and asked if they could come early. When the fella got here he set it up, showed me some of the features and left.Total elapsed time:15 min.

5 Stars Best flat panel HDTV you can buy for anywhere near the price!
I recently bought this tv and the experience has been great all around. The tv itself is completely amazing. The picture quality is jaw dropping, with beautiful colors, deep blacks and amazingly vivid detail. I have seen lots of other HDTVs (including ones I have owned) and this tv beats them all hands down. I really couldn’t be happier with the quality of the picture this tv produces. All of the reviews were spot on in this regard.

The external aesthetic look of the tv is also very nice. It looks classy and the build quality seems a step above.

The experience of ordering from Amazon was simply a pleasure. I ordered the tv on a Monday night and received it early Thursday morning, only a little over two days later. I couldn’t believe how fast it got to me. The price was great and the tv got to me in perfect condition. Amazon is the best.

I couldn’t be happier with the tv or the buying experience. A+++

When it comes to best image quality in a TV at an affordable range, Plasma screens deliver the best contrast ratio and color depth. This Viera plasma includes the new NEO plasma display panel with improved blacks and native contrast of 40,000:1. Neo PDP combines advances for plasma in cell structure, process technology, and new drive technology. Neo PDP is eco-friendly. It’s engineered to save power and double the luminance efficiency. It offers thinner screens than previous plasma flat panels. NEO technology screens are rated to have a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours. This is more than 30 years of viewing when watched for 8 hours a day, before the TV reaches half brightness. It also has 1080p resolution with 600Hz sub-field drive and Gaming Mode. With all these advances, why settle for an average picture when the Viera plasma display offers so much more. Did you know that some HDTVs deliver considerably less than 1080 lines of resolution, when processing fast motion on screen? VIERA S1 Series Plasma HDTVs ensure full-time 1080 TV lines of resolution, even during fast moving scenes in sports and movies. VIERA Image Viewer provides a better way to share your digital photos. Just pop your SD memory card into the handy slot, and instantly display your digital photos for friends and family to enjoy. With VIERA Link, you can control your compatible Panasonic DVD recorder, Blu-ray Disc player, home-theater sound system and HD camcorder, all with a single remote and helpful on-screen menus.
5 Stars great 1080P for sub $1000
I have gone through sony 51″ rear projection(we donated it to charity), SONY 42″ grand wega LCD projection and 2 32″ vizio 720p LCD. this panel is outstanding with no halo effects, no SDE, no pixelization on 1080i as well as 1080p sources. I paid $999 at best buy and they threw in panasonic BD80 blue ray player for $120. what a deal. I watched valkyrie, iron man, and dark knight on this one and it blows other TV’s away. the black levels are outstanding. there seems to be natural color tone and picture production compared any LCD TV’s. Eventhough I am energy concious, we only watch this TV for movies and games (I don’t have cable/satellite). Over the air reception is fantastic. it picks up channels in basement that my 32″ can’t upstairs. I have been a big fan of panasonic products ranging from shavers to phones to DVD players to TV for 20 yrs. they seem to have held their quality over the years. thanks a lot for all the 5 stars for previous reviewers. that made my decision easy. almost like the audience in who wants to be millionaire.

4 Stars Great tv for what it is. Not for those who want more.
I recently just got this tv at Sears for a tv/360 bundle they was doing for $999. Over all I’m happy with the tv. The picture quality is amazing with high def stuff compared to my old Samsung tv. Though my Samsung was great, it was starting to go after only 2 years.

Cnet gave this tv (of different sizes) a good rating. Which I pretty much agree with. but they said that the 42″ version had a greener tint to low def video (cable, dvd). Well the 50″ version seems to have a red tint to it rather then a green tint.

AS for features. Its pretty lacking in. This is a tv for those who just want to watch high def movies/tv. With no PC connection, you’re having to connect your computer through the hdmi ports which can be a frustrating to do.

The speakers sound quality is not that good. My old samsung had better ones. This is a tv you want to use surround sound with for just about everything.

Over all I am happy with this tv for the price I paid for it.

5 Stars Great TV, Best picture
This set has an utterly fantastic picture. I compared it to many other TVs, including the top of the line Sony LCD, and this TV still came out on top. For the moderate price, this TV is an outstanding buy, and you can’t get a BETTER picture at any price.

1 Star Can’t recommend due to prominent dead pixel…
I purchased this TV at Sears, and thought that I had gotten a phenomenal deal (at least compared to my brother who bought a nice 2008 model 8 months prior for about $500 more). Unfortunately, after I purchased the television and brought it home, I didn’t have a chance to watch it much the first month I owned it (and Sears has a 30 day return policy). After several hours of viewing, however, I noticed a prominent green pixel in the “Sweet Spot” of the television. Now, it seems that this nefarious dead pixel is all I can focus on while watching this television. While watching football we even call the green pixel the 12th defender, or the 3rd tight end on occasion, as it seems to figure prominently on many plays on both sides of the ball.

Now, I am no expert on dead pixels, but I’ve started to research it a bit more, and I do think that manufacturers are doing customers a disservice by attempting to utilize ISO tolerances as an excuse not to fix something they market as a premium product. My complaint to Panasonic’s Plasma Concierge service has so far fallen on deaf ears. I’ve started to research pixel fixing techniques, and I am not sure whether this pixel is dead or merely “stuck.” None have worked so far. If I am able to resolve my dead pixel problem through one of these techniques or through Panasonic Plasma Concierge, I’ll update my review accordingly. I really like this TV but for the green goblin that is my dead pixel friend. Until then, however, I can’t give it any more than 1 star.

4 Stars great picture, great tv for the price, few features
The picture is terrific. The colors were great even out of the box. The TV itself looks very stylish, though the stand is very basic. There are 7 input ports, which should be more than enough for anybody, especially if you use a receiver to process your signals.

I would’ve liked audio out ports – since I have my digital TV signals coming in straight to the TV, I have no easy way to pipe the audio to the receiver or the external speakers. The TV’s own speakers are decent, but far from overwhelming.

There are few extras and the remote is very basic. No PIP or anything like that. For the size, picture quality, and the price, it’s a very good buy.

5 Stars Samsung Flat Screen TV Review
I am very happy with this TV. Setup was easy, picture quality is great, and it looks great in the apartment. Very satisfied.

5 Stars Awesome
This tv was really cool no problems, it was packaged good cuz the box had a dent but the tv didnt even had a scratch. the tv has many usful features like u can like it with ur computer throught a network and it can go online for updates and widgets. color is great and so is the sound. well no complains here hope your is as good or better for u.

2 Stars Good luck getting service when this TV turns out defective
I purchased this TV from Samsung 3 months ago, and it had issues from the start: the audio output only channelled sound to one external speaker. Apparently this is a common problem. They should have recalled the TV. Next, the video input from HD cable became defective. So, there was no HD picture coming through from my calbe box. Now, I had paid $2000 for the TV, extra $ for HD cable, and I am getting subpar, blurry TV. Hmmm. By this time, The Amazon 30 day warrantee had expired. Samsung folks are really nice on the phone, but in terms of getting service repair-men out to fix your TV. . . lets just say, they are suboptimal. I was assigned to 4 different repair companies before I realized, no one will fix this defective issue. Very frustrated. Very angry. Will never buy a Samsung product again.

5 Stars Don’t believe Amozon about financing offers!
This review is not about the TV which is great. It’s to expose their fraudulent finance offers. One of the selling points for me was their 24 month no interest financing offer.THEY NEVER HONORED THAT OFFER!After I ordered the TV I started receiving e-mails from Amazon to the effect that my order was canceled. When I called to inquire why they said my Amazon store card was stolen.I told them this was impossible as I had not received it yet!I applied for it the same time I purchased the TV.I had to reapply for another card. This put me passed the deadline for the financing offer.By the way it took at lest an hour to get that straightened out as I keep getting passed back and forth between Amazon customer service and the credit department.Neither department wanted to take responsibility.I then confirmed with the representative that I would still get the same financing offer. To which she agreed.

When I received my first bill there was a finance charge.I called and the rep said it would be corrected and credited. It was not.I had another finance charge on my next statement.I then called GE who is a separate entity and does the financing for Amazon.I was told that they didn’t offer a 24 month no interest financing. He offered me a 18 month no interest financing.I decided this would be the best offer I could get so I took it.I’m just waiting to see if that will actually be honored!

Bottom line.Amazon can not legally make any financing offer as they don’t have a credit department.TV’s purchased on credit from Amazon are financed through GE.

5 Stars Samsung LN46B750 240Z LCD HDTV
My wife and I are extremely pleased with our new TV. The price was well under any local prices that we shopped. With the year and no interest payback, it was a perfect time to upgrade. The picture is amazing! The only thing we don`t like is having to by the Samsung $80.00 part so that it can be wireless and online.

COBY’s 19″ LCD TV offers a premium viewing experience, featuring brilliant picture, liquid-crystal display, and dual ATSC/NTSC tuners for great reception of digital signal (DTV-ready). With an HDMI digital connection and a 15-pin VGA interface, the TFTV1923 is perfect for use as a television or computer monitor.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Cheap you get what you pay for
If you want to save $50 and get a TV that is really built on a budget, this is for you. If you want a TV that will last, spend the extra $50 and get a TV that will be with you for years to come.

The TV looks and feel likes a toy company built it. I love the the remote bends when you push it buttons(It won’t last long). But it doesn’t stop there, the TV has a lot of fragile and flimsy components, but you are getting a cheap TV.

4 Stars Very pleased!
After searching endlessly for an affordable HDTV, I am very happy with this one. The picture quality is great, and the sound is extremely good (I wasn’t expecting the sound to be good). I am a bit disappointed that the price has gone down by $20 since I bought the TV last week. But overall, it’s definitely worth the money. i would definitely buy more Coby HDTVs. They’re clear and affordable.

1 Star Waste of Money!
I bought this TV about four months ago, and it worked decently for a few months. Then all of a sudden one day it just stopped working for no visible reason. The Coby tech support was beyond useless in trying to get my tv working again. Their response was “oh well too bad there is nothing we can do.” So now a few short months after buying this tv i have a $180 paperweight. Do NOT waste your time or money on this tv or this company. I am extremely unsatisfied and will never buy from them again.

4 Stars Nice for the price
I purchased the TFTV1923 to use for training and display purposes. My most important requirement was that it be easy to carry around and have decent sound and picture. Both are fine, though the sound is tinny. It sets up easily and is perfect for use in small areas and especially in small meetings. I was unable to get any picture reception with a good digital antenna at my home office location. I know the reception in this area is decent, so was disappointed I got no hits on the channel scan. A good buy for the price and quality.

4 Stars Works fine
I purchased this for a kids room, this TV works just fine.

I like the feature that you can lock all of the settings with a code.

I will say that the remote is cheesy. It feels cheap and I have already purchased a universal remote as a stand by when the remote the TV came with stops working.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars excellent television, terrible delivery
great television, but delivery was a problem. Fed Ex lost the first television and never called back. Amazon sent another, but it arrived after the birthday of the person we bought it for.

3 Stars Really nice budget set
I got this for a temporary apartment based on its price mostly and the fact that it had a recognizable name. It arrived in perfect order, one dead pixel that I could find and set up quickly. There aren’t a lot of options, just the basics, couple of usb ports, hdmi and RCA ports for external devices and that’s it but what more do you need? I notice some jerkiness on fast action scenes but its only the standard 60 Hz refresh, not the 120 I have at home so I actually have something to compare it to. Course it cost a quarter of my home unit too. Summary: good value in a basic 32″ unit.

5 Stars What a deal!
I needed a new TV for my room and decided to go ahead and upgrade to HD. I researched many models for about a month and finally decided to purchase this one. The picture is phenomenal! I have a new 50″ plasma and another 42″ LCD in other rooms of my house but this TV actually beats them all in picture quality. Another problem I have read about many times with these smaller LCD TV’s is the sound quality. People are always complaining about the quality of the sound and/or the low volume. This TV has spectacular sound quality and the volume gets much louder than you would ever need.Having two HDMI ports is great plus the SD card reader is another cool feature. The TV itself looks great and feels very sturdy, high quality. Overall I would give this TV an A+ and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

1 Star Great TV for a little room
This set fits and gives us a great HD picture in our little room upstairs.

5 Stars Good for the money
Very good deal, excellent look and picture quality. I was afraid at the beginning about sound quality (after I had read some reviews prior my purchase), but it looks my ears are in a good condition and typically I can watch TV with sound level below 10 (probably people who complain use this tv set in the noisy factory). Recommended.

High Performance Connection Between HDMI and DVI Components / Cables Makes Hookup Easy! HDMI, the hottest high-definition digital audio/video standard, is compatible with all digital video connection, DVI. So, if you’ve got DVI components (like DVD player, Cable box, HDTV tuner with DVI outputs) in your system and buy a new HDMI-capable component (like Plasma TV or projector), compatibility is guaranteed.

Eforcity HDMI-F to DVI-M Video Adaptor with Gold Contacts

I bought this adapter to connect my PC to my TV. I gave it 4 stars because the screws are too small and difficult to tighten. Other than that, it works great. Don’t waste your money on some brand name adapter when this product works fine for just a couple bucks (the same goes for HDMI cables).

1 Star Did not work!!
Bought this cable thinking I got a bargain on a cheap dvi to hdmi cable for my macbook pro and panasonic lcd hdtv but it didn’t work. Tried it on all the hdmi ports and got nothing. My macbook’s screen kept flashing blue as if it was trying to connect to an external monitor but no picture was showing up on my tv. I’ve read others with macs saying the cable worked and others said it didn’t. Guess I was one of the unlucky ones.

1 Star Don’t get for Macs
I got this to connect my MacBook Pro to an HDTV, to no avail. When I connected it, the screen would flash blue once then refuse to detect the external display. I took the setup in to an Apple Store, where switching computers had the same effect. We then switched to their $26 Belkin DVI to HDMI cable and had everything work perfectly.

Yeah, it’s only a few dollars on Amazon with shipping, but it’s not worth even that for Mac users – this seems to be a frequent problem.

5 Stars Works great!
Connected my DVI output from computer to HDMI input on TV. Picture looks beautiful. Does exactly what you would expect it to.

2 Stars bought the wrong product but can’t return because of the shipping price is more than the actual product
i don’t no what its used for but certainly for what i hoped for. i thought i could connect my laptop and tv with this cord but doesn’t fit my laptop thing. but i guess its overall good product just can’t test it.

5 Stars It does it’s Job
Plain and simple, hooked up my computer up to the big LG lcd tv. Simple and it worked. Had to of course adjust the settings on the card and the zoom aspect settings on the tv but that is to be expected with this type of connection. Quick delivery and great price. Picture looks great, vibrant colors, makes it all sorts of fun to watch movies off the computer. So if you need this cable this one does the job.

and eforcity is also a good thing, They’ve never let me down in anyway, they rock!

It features a 45.9″ screen (measured diagonally) with a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. The Touch of Color high-gloss finish is black with red accents. There are built-in digital (ATSC) and analog (NTSC) tuners for over-the-air TV broadcasts (antenna required) and built-in QAM cable TV tuner, which receives unscrambled programs without a set-top box (cable service required). The Ultra Clear LCD panel (1920 x 1080 pixels) provides clear resolution.

5 Stars Beautiful picture, but a little strange with the styling
I love everything about this tv except the buttons. There are no actual buttons, just touch sensitive controls. This makes it a bit difficult to turn on or off, etc without the remote.

Other than the buttons the picture is beautiful (pop a blu-ray in and you’ll see what I mean), and at the time I purchased it the technology for the dollar was unparalelled. I would say for people looking now you may want to consider the 240hz model for a little more or hold off and get the LED tvs coming out now. They are dropping in price, have even sharper picture, very light and thin, and use less electricity.

5 Stars Samsung HDTV
I was somewhat skeptical about buying a large TV on the internet, primarily because of possible shipping problems. The delivery was handled very professionally. The delivery people were more than courteous: they removed the TV from the box, assembled the base, put the TV on the stand and made sure that it was working properly before they left. They carted off all the packaging and left me completely satisfied. The TV itself is outstanding. Great contrast. I had an excellent experience.

5 Stars ev
Ordered TV on Friday Oct.2 and received it on Monday Oct.5, how is this for Service.! Package was in good condition with no damage. Price was $ 200.00 cheaper than any other stores I have checked and I checked about 50 of them, and shipping was free. Picture resolution, colors and features, are excellent and easily outperform far higher priced competitors LCDTV’s. I’f also purchased a Home Theater HT-Z420 from Samsung so that I can use one remote for the whole setup due to the Anynet+ feature of Samsung’s electronic products. However it took some doing to make everything work together.

Here is what I have: Motorola DCH6200 Digital HD Cable Box, Samsung LN-46B650 LCDTV, Samsumg HT-Z420 Hometheater

Here is what I did:

Remove TV cable from Cable Box and install 2way splitter. Get 2 short TV Cables and install one cable from splitter to Cable Box and the second TV Cable from Splitter to your LCDTV. Install HDMI cable from Cable Box to HDMI 1 IN on your LCDTV. Now you can use your LCDTV remote for all standard TV channels and your Cable Box remote for HBO,Cinemax etc.

Connect all Speakers to your HT-Z420 Home Theater, Install HDMI Cable and Digital Optical Cable between your Hometheater. Since your Home Theater remote has more functions for you DVD player, it is preferable to use this remote instead of the LCDTV remote. If you use HDMI cable only between your Hometheater and your LCDTV, most likely you will not be able to use the Hometheater speakers when watching regular TV channels. At least mine did not work. Overall,I am extremely happy with the Samsung Products and will post more reviews down the road.

5 Stars A great TV
Looked around and chose the Samsung. I made the right decision, this TV is great, awesome picture and easy to get to and change settings if you want to. Glad I went with Amazon too, they have the best prices, quick delivery and set up…

5 Stars Blown away by the picture…great Amazon service
Look no further. If you like this tv and have been waiting to pull the trigger..wait no more. Keep track of the Amazon coupons and you can get it for a steal. The picture is so life-like even the cable guy was amazed. Not the best sound as most reviews had indicated but a TV like this is best complimented with a great home theater sound system (next purchase). Get the Mediabridge HDMI cables to go with it. Well worth the $10. Also picked up some component cables for the Wii. Looks like Tiger Woods and I will be playing lots of golf this winter….
