5 Stars works great
I bought a digital converter box about a year ago and have used bunny-ears to get tv. For some reason in the past few months I lost a couple of channels. I’ve tried amplified antenna’s in the past and always returned them, that was when TV broadcasts were analog. Anyway, I thought I’d give this a try, I got back all the channels that I lost and also picked up a few new ones. Plus not needing to adjust the antenna is a really nice feature. Overall, I’m a happy customer.

2 Stars OK, But Not As Good As Philips MANT940
We tried the RCA ANT1450B Digital Antenna when we decided to see if we could pull in broadcast stations with the idea of shutting off our cable TV. Sadly this antenna only pulled in one station (about 15 miles away), and only when twisted in a certain direction. One channel was not good enough.

I decided to try the Philips MANT940 UHF Digital and Analog Indoor/Outdoor Antenna based on the possitive reviews of that antenna. The Philips antenna was able to pull in 11 channels, from stations as far away as 60 miles.

The RCA antenna might be good for use in a large city, but out in the country where I live it just doesn’t perform as well as needed. I am returning this one and keeping the Philips.

3 Stars Not bad, but I wish it were stronger.
I hooked this antenna up to a Sony 46″ HDTV and I was able to receive more stations (though not all local stations) than I could with rabbit ears. It took a while to find a location/orientation that enabled me to receive the most stations. Roughly about 20 stations. Even so, not every station’s reception is 100% all the time. Unfortunately, I have to periodically adjust the antenna depending on what station I want to watch. Not the end of the world, but a slight hassle. So their claim that you just leave the antenna in place with no need to adjust is not always true. I was disappointed that it didn’t do a better job considering I live within 23 miles between two major cities. Also, my 20″ analog TV connected to a Digital Converter box and rabbit ears picks up more stations and I haven’t even had to move the rabbit ears after I found a good location. Who knows, maybe larger TVs need stronger signals/antennas.

I wonder if the RCA ANT1650 would be an improvement over this one. There are only two reviews thus far — not enough to make a judgement.

I would probably only recommend this antenna if you live within 20 miles of the towers and you really don’t want an eyesore (and maybe better for smaller TVs). But also realize that you might not have instant success if you try to place it on or right next to the TV. Don’t give up until you’ve tried various locations (angles, heights, etc.).

1 Star Frustrated!!
Oooh, you shouldn’t have asked!! While I don’t have a home theater, I ordered this antenna because I thought it might have the strongest signal and I wouldn’t have to “play” with “ears”. This one is advertised as able to pick up signals from all directions, therefore, no “ears”. Hoorah, I thought! I still am not sure which antenna to order(this is my third one) I’ve turned this thing every way but loose, and to me, it’s no better than some with less features that I’ve tried. The booster did not add anything to the reception. I don’t live in a valley or between tall buildings- which are the usual excuses for bad reception. Frankly, as far as antennas, I’m finished!!

5 Stars Best Digital Antenna
We do not have cable TV at the office where I work and we use the TV to check on weather reports to plan our work week on. After trying several other digital internal antennas I happened on this one. I believe the amplifier is what makes the difference,I tried the same type of antenna from the same company which was not amplified and it did not have the reception that this antenna does. We rely on the local channel 12 here and were not able to receive it with any of the other internal antennas that we tried. This was the only internal antenna I have found so far that was able to receive that station. I have since bought a second ANT1450B antenna for my own personal use since my experience with this one was so good. The flat design makes it easy to hide away and not appear so noticeable.
